Biography of the consulting biologist – Brendan Price
Brendan Price (B.Ag.Sc., M.Biol.Inst Irl., EuroProBiol) has a lifetime’s experience as a working biologist with a special interest in wildlife rehabilitation. He was appointed consultant biologist to the project in 2019 and provides specialised knowledge and skills to the project promoter and will be a consulting board member of the not for profit company that will manage this project. He has extensive experience with eNGO management and especially with support and team building for conservation projects. He is currently CEO of the Irish NGO Irish Seal Sanctuary specialising in rescue, rehabilitation and release of seals and in marine wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. However he has been fortunate enough to have had experience of many ecologies including experience with many exotic species from Africa to America. A native of Dublin, Brendan Price is a wildlife biologist, and lifelong wildlife activist. He now lives in a quiet country village outside Dublin from where he continues his life’s work in wildlife advocacy and the defence of global biodiversity.
Biography of the consulting ecologist – Tatiana Fuentes Rodriguez
Tatiana Fuentes Rodriguez (BSc, MSc (Environmental Sciences)) is a consulting ecologist from Málaga, with a wealth of knowledge and experience of Mediterranean ecology. Having been born and educated in Málaga her knowledge of the area is invaluable. She is currently working as wildlife warden in the Camargue Nature Reserve and Biosphere in France and has been involved in many aspects of environmental monitoring, surveys, evaluation, conservation and restoration. She has extensive hands-on field experience in monitoring and evaluating soil and water quality, and in ornithology, herpetology, batrachology and cartography. Working on a project which is part of the Natura 2000 network under the Life+ initiative of the European Union has given Tatiana invaluable knowledge and experience in large-scale biodiversity conservation and restoration projects in a highly sensitive and important Mediterranean environment. She is passionate about ecological conservation and committed to her life’s work in the field. We are pleased to say that Tatiana has agreed to act as consulting ecologist on this project to manage both initial ecological evaluation and on-going environmental audits.
